I can't remove the fan, I unbolt but it won't clear the exhaust manifold. do I need to unbolt the motor mounts and drop or raise the engine? The Chiltons manual was no help

are there 2 motor mounts if so where are they I need to do this in my driveway. thanl for your advice

I used to take all of the air cleaner box stuff out of the motor area so I could get in there to start wiggling. Once all that stuff is out of the way, I used to pry the motor up and back to gain that little bit of extra clearance needed to get the motor end around the exhaust connection. It always helped to get someone to pry while I wiggled. Good luck.

on those its easier to drop mount and raise the engine a little ,those are the worse design gm ever done,they are hard to put in,most shops charge about 150 bucks just to install one of these,,good luck on it.
