Craft malls and such = excuse yourself to go back to look at something, again, that you saw in a previous isle or booth. Just take a walk. They will think you are interested and you get a break.
or
announce that you are looking for something special and you need to go "over there".
or
think ahead. Come up with somethings before you leave that you can look for. Make it a private scavenger hunt.
I remember going to places with my parents while they 'visit'. I usually went outside. If you have to participate, take something to show or something to tell or something that will start a conversation you are interested in.
or
Ask before you go if you can cook something for them - cookies, muffins...take everything to work with, including the pans and such. Or..ask if you can paint, fix, clean, rake leaves...something to do while everyone else 'visits'
or
take a book. if you feel this will be too unsociable, tell them you have to read it before X day. Take breaks and join the conversation occasionally to show you enjoy their company.
or
if you are the only visitor, take a board game everyone can play, or card game.or read up on a topic you are interested in and kick off a conversation about that. or start a conversation about about your family tree or anything that will get them talking about themselves. It can be interesting and you don't have to come up with much of anything to say. or ask to see old photos, older people love that.
Hope you find something that is helpful.

I keep my boredom wrapped in saran wrap under my bed. =)
Take a book with you. Or a hand held game
or make up a weird game like turning all the lawn jockeys to face the door , yeah that only works if you plan on entering the door like your someone famous and act shocked everyone is looking at you .. this way your family will be concerned you are insane.. but not bored.

Take an interest.
You are there, spending time. So if you actually take an interest, regardless how inane things may seem, you can be more knowledgeable.
You're bored because you're not involved - you've opted out of an opportunity. If you take an interest, you don't have to continue to study the subect after you leave. But taking an interest is EASIER than not taking an interest (and getting bored).

hello kitty!!
sorry i love hello kitty
but umm you can hide boredom, but if someone thinks u are bored they may just ask, are you bored? not necessarily implying that you are showing boredom. they cant expect you to enjoy what you are not used to, so you would say im okay but i would rather be doing such and such etc

Boredom is a state of mind. If you do not like being in situations that you do not want to be in, then remove yourself from them.

well, you can't hide the fact if you're bored or not. it's hard not to make a face about it and so it's okay if you're asked. Just ignore it and you'll be fine!

just act insincerely interested in everything, speak loudly, with enthusiasm, but beware, if you look like your having fun, the person wou are with will probably try to take you to more boring places

Keep a slight smile on your face, and keep your eyes moving around to show interest.
