So by you getting on here and saying that this is bothering you and you find you husband a hypocrite, you are being hypocritical. It seems that it is bothering you. Well The thing is he is trying to set up a friend and just wants you to understand why he thinks they would be good. He is bragging about how good a job he is doing for his friend. Not trying to make you upset. Yeah you are right men would be a little uneasy about their woman saying that. That is because well I do not care what bull a guys tells women, we are all afraid that our woman will leave us for a better guy, even if we are married to them. I myself would not throw a fit about it I would just be like "oh so you think he is all that to do you" just to see how she responds to it. Then drop it. Men just want to know that their woman loves them and wants to be with them. Usually when a woman starts going on about some guy, it makes us feel like we are not good enough for them and that they are wanting to either replace us or cheat on us. That is why guys are so insecure about their girl saying things like that. I myself do not see this as a big deal, if he was not saying how great this woman was and that she is just so, so, them you would be like, "well what kind of friend are you to be setting him up with a girl like that". I see your question as one of those where no matter what he said you would find some reason to be upset with his answer.

I think they can be hypocritical at times but most of the time it is a talk first think last kind of thing. Guys are not as emotional bound as women are so a lot of the time it is in the brain and out the mouth. It's not that they are trying to hurt you or that men are dumb because they aren't, but women have a habit of being more analytical so we think a hundred miles an hour before it even hits the surface. Then there are those times when they are just jack a@@es.

Obviously you don't know ALL men so your generalization only makes you look less intelligent than you think you are. Obviously all this has to deal with is YOUR husband. You need to ask HIM why HE is such a hypocrite.

Sweet Pea let me set the record straight, not all men are like this. If it makes you uncomfortable in anyway you need to confront the issue at hand. Don't allow something like this to affect you to the point you think all men is this way, because it is not true. You maybe need to let him know I don't care to know how great this woman is , but how do you feel about me. Sometimes you have to know how to get a man to understand your feelings without being cold about it. good luck!

Because he'd probably feel that other man was a threat if you liked him so much. In his case, he's probably feeling all juiced because he's playing cupid and will get to hear all the juicy details about this girl through his friend.

hypocrite:
1 : a person who puts on a false appearance of virtue or religion
2 : a person who acts in contradiction to his or her stated beliefs or feelings
Unfortunately, we all can be hypocrites. If you're husband is going for things he's stated he's against previously - call him on it.

Instead of your husband setting up his buddy and you being so critical about it, I think you both need to see marriage counselors! Unfortunately I feel that you have a weak self esteem and do not trust your husband regarding women that he might admire. Go see a marriage counselor and good luck with your marriage.

Hopefully, he thinks she is just the thing for his friend and that's why he's saying she is great. I would give him the benefit of the doubt. I agree that he would probably get mad if you did the same thing. Is it about being right or being content?

Well it's basically the same for girls if you think about it. I mean there are tons of guys and gals who are so called hypocrites and they just are who they are.
