I have a chevy malibu and it surges the rps go up and down and the car jerks. What is the problem?

There could be a number of concerns with your Malibu. I'd take it to a dealership and have them reproduce the symptom. From there they should be able to diagnose and fix your car. Good luck!

i would change the fuel filter first to see if that may be the problem -- also make sure the gas cap has a good seal check for cracks
