I mean, humans have science to answer questions and science, in a way, creates myths out of what some religions believe. But how do we know that science theories are correct or not? What about those strange phenomenons that occasionaly occur. All we have is theories and what ifs, no?

We don't know if theories are correct, that's why they call them "theories."
I'm not sure about the end of the world stuff, to be honest with you. People read the papers and say "terrible things are happening, there are wars, plauges and corrupt nations, just like the Bible said there would be in the last days!"
There have ALWAYS been wars and corrupt nations. Plauges were even worse back then because they had no medicine or practical quarantine procedures.
If someone wants me to believe in their end of the world prophesies, they'll have to come up with something other than the usual terrible things which have ALWAYS been happening.

It is very easy to know if scientific theories are correct or not. For instance, the theory of gravity allows us to slingshot probes around other celestial bodies, and using the gravity of those bodies, to land such a probe on Mars. How are we able to do this and have it work? We understand gravity so well that it works like a charm every time.

Likewise, Darwin predicted in the early 1800s that monkeys and man would be closely related. Lo and behold, in the 50s, with the advent of genetics, we were able to see proof that man and chimpanzees did in fact only differ by 2.5% as far as DNA.

In each of the above instances, our theories were further solidified. Now, multiply each instance by the hundreds of thousands of times each theory, whether gravity or evolution, have been proven or solidified and it should be very easy to understand why we don't question our scientific theories. They have proven true over and over again in many different instances and by many different methods.

'Strange phenomena' do not erase science, nor the theories by which we do science. All strange phenomena do is highlight an area where we lack knowledge. Once the phenomena is understood, we are further enlightened with more knowledge, which sometimes might even cause us to alter our theories, which only increases our level and knowledge of the natural world. Strange phenomena only make us smarter in the end.

You really need to take a class somewhere on science, and learn that a theory, like gravity or evolution, is not some random nonsense pulled from one's behind. Our scientific knowledge in MANY areas can hardly be considered to be 'what ifs.' By claiming such, you only serve to reveal your own level of ignorance to any reading and/or lurking here.

As far as the bible goes, yes, it's rubbish. Or do you believe donkeys (Num 22:28) and snakes (Gen 3:1) can speak? Do you believe it is ok to make slaves of little children (Lev 25:44-46)? Do you believe it is ok to beat your slaves, since they are merely property (Ex 21:20)? If you find such things to be nonsense, then congratulate yourself that your rational faculties are actually working.

I think, you will never have a more important decision to make in your whole life...Do you get the Bible, and study Bible history....or do you just keep following after scientific theories and hoping they are right? If I were you,,,I would make sure you know the truth and don't take anything on face value...there is more evidence for an intelligent designer of this world than for evolution....they cannot even tell you the answer to the age old question...what came first, the chicken or the egg.....Christan's know the answer..

If you use the Bible as your resource you will find the following scriptures very helpful. Jesus gave his followers a composite sign to look for...here are a few for you to meditate on, Matt.24:7 Nation will rise against Nation....Food shortages....great earthquakes,Luke 21:11....pestilence,Luke 21:11...2Tim3:1-5
description of what people would be like in the last days...Matt24:14...good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabitated earth, God is going to ruin those who are ruining the earth...Rev. God has allowed man to rule himself for over 6,000 years...we have proved what Jer.10:23 stated...Man was not meant to govern himself...we have tried every form of government there is...man can not resolve the most basic problems let alone world wide problems...look what we have done to the earth! It is not God's intention for us to destroy this beautiful planet that he created for us..Ps.37:10,11 tells us "the meek shall inherit the earth and reside FOREVER upon it...so if you had a beautiful rental home and the tenants you rented it to were destroying it...what would you do? Would you destroy the home and the tenants? or would you evict the tenants????" Yes Virginia there is a God" and he lovingly is going to clean up the mess we humans have created!

The Bible is the only source I have found for non-vague 100% true prophecies. So yes, I believe it, although not only for that reason.

Several branches of science, although people will argue this, is not exact. There isn't much that can be 100% correct. That is why we have several different theories. Psychology is imprecise, as is the study of "beginnings". You have to decide for yourself what you believe; others can't do it for you. And there may never be the kind of proof you are looking for, on either side of the fence.

NO! The Bible is the WORD OF GOD! I believe all phenomenons if that is what you want to call it happen for a purpose. Everything happens for a purpose. Now we as mere humans do not know the whys and wherefore, but there is a purpose for all things! I hope you will read God's word with an open heart and a open mind! Because God's word is wonderful!

Strance phenomenons, like statues crying and stuff. Im pretty sure that most of them are dismissed as hoaxes.
Although alot of the bible is hard to swallow it does teach some very important life lessions and is a very good guide for rules to live by.
Theories such as the big bang are just a hard to believe as a god creating the earth, and just as hard to prove.
Theories like evolution have prety much been proven beyond reasonable dobut. As for the apocalypse, i think thats a bit far fetched for something thats going to happen anytime soon, but remember this thoughout history there have been many insodence of big epidemics (black plague, small pox etc.) with the current state of medicine we have supressed these epidemics and are now over 60 years overdue for one. combine this with the over crowding in most countries and you have a recipe for disarster.

i believe that all of the religious phenomena ,good and bad are latent in the human unconscious.any of the apocalyptic visions being a deep seated fear of humanity being wiped out by some Evil force, natural or demonic.i don't think there ever will be an apocalypse.as long as there are humans, the battle between "Good and Evil" will continue ,these being nothing but human concepts.Mother Nature knows no such thing as good ,evil, justice, equality, and only when you get to humans do these take on meaning.granted we will perish one day from starvation and overpopulation, but that's going to be mankinds REAL enemy, himself, who brings that about.
