Short and sweet. Some men do not know how to show their affection, and that is the truth. If they are brought up in a family that hugs and kisses it comes naturally. If they are brought up where very little public affection is shown. They feel awkward doing things like hugging. No excuse, but it takes time to get the message across to him. Have you asked him about it? Is he somewhat a little gun shy when it comes to showing his emotions? Ask him and see what happens. Good Luck

the point of being married is for whatever reason you decided to get married. if you cant even hug your wife then you must have done something to her that made her mad. she wouldnt just not let you hug her. or she is cheating on you and she doesnt want to be touched by you. good luck.

Obviously you married the wrong person. Something tells me you got married with certain expectations of a person you didn't know as well as you thought you did. This person isn't the "touchy feely" type so you married expecting him/her to change. Marrying someone expecting them to conform to your fantasy after the marriage is not how one should get married. You should have been able to communicate your needs to your "intended" long BEFORE you stood at that altar and made your vows...since you didn't your marriage is basically based upon a lie...

well... maybe your partner doesnt feel that comfortable giving you a hug or maybe your partner doesnt believe in it. I mean evcery person has their reason. Like I dont like being hugged myself, I would rather be kissed ecause feel that it holds more meaning to it than a hug. You've got to understand where the other person is coming from.

Perhaps you should hug your mate and he/she will begin to get the habit of it, and will hug you.
I had a friend who's husband never hugged her, so she started saying, "I need a hug." It took several times and then he started hugging her without being asked.

Depends, did your spouse hug you before you got married? If so then yes there is a problem but if not then you knew this before you got married & got married anyways. You can't be upset about it now.

Sweet Pea it just really depends on the mood of the other person. I understand your point but you have to realize that sometimes people have bad days, and they sometimes need a little time to unwind and you have to be open minded and respect that. Sometimes a little space is needed and have to be willing to accept that in a marriage. Good luck!

You need to ask for it. Say, "I feel like hugging you," and then hug him. If he doesnt hug you then you've got problems. Men cant read minds.
