We both did. We chose them because they are very rarely used and my wife is of Russian heritage. We wanted names that are not common.

I haven't had any children yet, but when I do, I think it will be me picking the names. I already know of a lot of names that I like and I am very imaginative, sooo.......... I pick names based on originality, phonetics, and how it looks. I also want something that will give my child a unique personality.

since i have no children considering im only 17, ill answer why my parents chose my name.
my mom gave my dad a list of 5 names, some really difficult to pronounce and spell armenian names and one simple name, Lori. Well my daddy chose the simple name because it would easier on me throughout my life. and so there u have why I am named Lori!

I dont have kids. But my parents when choosing names picked a boy and girl name they liked. They chose which girl/boy name they liked best. If it was a boy my dad got to pick the name and if it was a girl my mum. Lucky we're all girls or we'd be called amos

My husband named our daughter. He has always liked her first name, and her middle name is in tribute to his cousin who has been his best friend since they were young.
I named our son. He has a first name from Star Wars, but I chose it for the name, not the movie. He shares my husbands middle name.

My sister picked my name (she was 14 when i was born) I was about to be named Pointsettia. Horrid I know. She named me after Hayley Mills. Some soap star.

My husband and I decided the names of our Children.
Our son was named after my husband and has his Grandfather's name as his middle name.
My daughter's middle name is after my Grandmother.. We wanted to represent both the grandparent's..

I don't have kids yet but I have decided that if my husband and I have a girl we're going to name her Erin Aliza. Erin is mine and his names put together plus a short form of my mother's and Aliza is his mother's name.
