Before the fight of Mike Tyson and Frank Bruno, the reporter had a forecast of the fight by some woman reading crystals.
"Frank Bruno will win in the first round", she said.
The starting bell rang, and Tyson leaped out of his corner, and beat him to a pulp.
NOW WHAT DO YOU THINK!

Some things aren't helped by history or science. People still sell magic crystals and magnetic health-inducing bracelets. Worse, people still buy them. They are not dissuaded by the complete lack of supporting scientific evidence.

Don't confuse this with the large body of empirical knowledge about naturopathic medical treatments which will never be scientifically proved, simply because no drug company will spend millions of dollars to test something they can't make money from. There's evidence, but no one will pay for a rigorous experiment to provide proof.

I wonder, who started that one? Like wearing magnets, they do nothing. You should get a reprint of an old sears catalog. Look at all those silly magnetic and electrical devices that people exposed themselves too to obtain better health. They used to think that exposing themselves to radioactivity was healthy. It's a case of believing for the sake of believing.
When one tries to be "open minded" and "cool" about such things he is just being stupid. This is another case where "open mindedness" equates to gullibility.
