We are worried that her sharing a name with a popular wine brand (Kendall-Jackson) that she'll be annoyed with her name and possibly get comments all the time from people she meets, especially once she's older. We can't decide and want opinions. Thanks!!

Honestly, the first thing I thought when I read your listed question (without the explanation) was, "Please don't name your child after wine."

Sorry, but I don't think that it's a great idea.

I think that it is a beautiful name, but I wouldn't want to go through life with the frequent comments or questions I'd receive with that name.

Good luck!

If you love the name Kyndall, then I see no problem with naming her that. I did think of the wine brand name as soon as I read your name, but I didn't think of it in a negative way. I'm sure she will get some comments, but I don't think it will matter that much. Besides, wine is usually considered a good thing and words like "fine" rhyme with wine and I think she would have plenty of good comebacks to use if she wishes. Or maybe the brand will go out of business, etc?! If you love the name, I wouldn't hesitate.

I actually know a man with this exact name first name spelled differently though and he didn't really mind it while he was younger because kids didn't know about the wine. As he got older he would get comments almost everytime he was introduced. He was in a wedding and when introduced at the reception it actually took away from the bride and groom for a moment because everyone started talking and laughing about his name. He now goes by Ken Jackson whenever he introduces himself. But if you really like the name why not, I didn't know anyone growing up that didn't have their name made fun of it's just part of growing up. So don't let others push you away from this name if you really like it.

I've got a cousin who is named Tom Collins (like the drink). He might have gotten teased a bit when he was younger, but who cares? Your daughter can tell her friends that they're not as cool as she is, she has a cool wine named after her. :D

I think Kyndall Jackson is a beautiful name.

I didn't know it was a wine, I wouldn't worry.

But I don't like the y in the name, if you are doing that to avoid the same spelling as the wine, I wouldn't. Kendall is prettier.

Hi
I haven't heard of that brand of wine.

Kinda the same as people naming kids Bailey (Bailey's Irish Cream drink) or Jamison (a whisky), they still do it.

Kyndall isn't Kendall anyway, (if I'm saying it right - 'kindell'?)

Good luck! By the way Kyndell is a sweet name!

I think that it is totally fine. It is a really pretty name. BUT people will comment about it, not everyone but you know some people will, so if you want to save her from embarrasment or just the annoying people, don't name her that. If you have second thoughts you probably shouldn't name her that, so you don't regret it one day. If it were my kid, I probably wouldn't. Just my opinion.

Why the hell not? I've been a drinker for a while now (16 years) and haven't even heard of that name brand of wine?

I had no clue it was a popular wine brand. I like the name a lot, and if you want it then name her that! At least it is spelled different!

I personally hate hyphen names. It's a lot for a little kid to swallow and learn to spell, say and write. Camilla Lee sounds good Camilla Green sounds good Personally, I'd opt for one last name.
