MAC is soo expensive, but I want to know whether it's worth it or not? Is there something better about it than other stuff?

Are the products four times better (to make up for costing 4x more than the "cheap" brands) - NO!
But what you do get is a SUPERIOR quality product - from the quality of the compact itself down to longer lasting formulas. For example - the Eye Shadows give better payoff, and last longer than a $3.99 brand from Wal-Mart.
Part of the M.A.C allure is the packaging itself - especially the stuff they put out for their annual summer collection, and for Christmas.
And like most other "brand names" - you have to pay a little more for a high-end name ;);)

it all depends what you get...i personally dont care much for the face powders and foundations they made me break out but their eye colors and eye products are really great and a lil bit goes a long way if you know how to blend your eye make up well...just get an make up trial or just go to a mac store or counter and ask them about thier products and they will give ur the reasons for why their products are so expensive and why they are worth it

It is worth it. It works VERY VERY well. But I only like a few of their products. Of course there is a few minuses to it:
*Price
*Does clog pores like any other makeup
*And is frequently very heavy on the face.
Few Pluses:
*Good Quality
*Great colors and types
*Looks hot on practically EVERYONE (jeez)

I love the colors of their waterproof eyeliner! They have colors and great ideas nobody else has. It is worth it. I still use the inexpensive mascara and blush, but splurge on the eye makeup.

basically i think its just cuz the stars wear it that make other people want to own it. the difference i would say is that there eyeshadow is bright as anything. while other tend to fade quick, MAC last longer

It is expensive, but it is well worth your money. Their colors are really nice and rich and they last all day. :]

It's quality make-up.
If you go to an actual MAC make-up store, they'll do your make-up for free, I think.
My sister did it before.

The eyshadows are great. Its the only thing I get from M.A.C. though.
