When looking for answers, all relevant statistics should be considered of course. What you've shown is presumably the number of welfare recipients in each of four sections of the country. These four sections are much too large and the implications of these numbers are way too vague for us to extrapolate the kind of tendencies you are looking for. But then, isn't that part of what a liberal does? He jumps to conclusions quickly rather than remaining level-headed about things like alleged causation? A lot can be learned about statistics, and I'm sure you've heard plenty of people say that you can make statistics show anything you want to. I don't believe that. I believe statistics must be analyzed properly to determine their meanings, and when people disagree about them it's because one or more of them isn't analyzing the info correctly. Some of the other factors in these stats can be: Crime rates, poverty rates, ethnic groups, culture, natural resources, cost of living, and the list goes on.

If your saying that the southerners (redstaters) have the highest number of people recieving social security of Welfare?

If so, look at the next column listing the percentages of those recieving public assistance or wefare
