I am very sorry you are having to consider this step and trust you will not rest until you find an excellent, loving home for him. If you genuinely cannot find a way to continue to care for him then that is the most loving and selfless thing you can do. I have suffered tremendous sacrifices to ensure this has never happened: no matter how ill, poor, injured or desperate I was, even with the dogs I knew could go back to rescue. When I had nothing at all, at least I still had my dogs and finding a way to provide for them kept me going and got me through it.

Some drugs are OK with each other, some aren't.

Check the label, or ask your pharmacist.

You can also try a web search for "interaction" and the two drug names.

If they are prescription drugs and you bought them at the same pharmacy they usually check for you. Which is why it is a good idea to buy all your prescriptions at the same place.

Given the tote bag of medications the Dr. has me taking morning, noon, and night I certainly hope so. Of course, I'm of a more mature nature if you get my drift and I think most of us when reaching a 'certain age' end up at the pharmacy as a social outing.

It depends. When I had bronchitis, they had me on two different medications at once. I was so spaced out, but if they didn't see a problem with it then I guess it was fine. lol

It is not unusual for my doc to have me on two or three at a time. You do need to make sure that they are compatible, though. Many meds have Tylenol in them already and doubling up on them can cause liver damage.

blue on white, stay up all night.
Ups and downs, turn u sideways round.
And Be Tranqued, when you take aceed,
be sure you have ticket and landing gear down, before you take your flight.

It depends on their chemical reaction to each other and what they are for.

At night, I take 8 medications together, but they are all for different things.

Um... as long as neither of those meds are of the hardcore stuff, then you ought to be fine. But, I have to ask, why are you asking this? What are you planning on taking?

*hugs*
