Actually, medically speaking it's harder for underweight AND overweight women. WHY? Because the gland that regulates the hormones (pituitary) has to adjust to your body weight constantly. This gland is sensitive and while TTC you are obviously keeping track of what you eat and you can possibly loose weight (or gain it) unexpectedly. This causes the normal balance of hormones in the body to change, and it CAN throw all of your timing and calculations off. Waaaay off.
If you are small framed and thin with normal hormones you should be fine. Personally, some of us get knocked up at the drop of a hat skinny or fat! lol
Best wishes & Baby dust!

Yes, I am really skinny and have been trying without medical help for 1yr and then went to a RE for help as it wasn't working for us naturally. The first thing she said was that I need to put on some weight so that my body is capable to carrying out the pregnancy. If your body knows that you are too weak to have a baby it will take measures for it not to happen but then again there are people out there that are very skinny and have managed to get preggers so I guess it depends how fertile you are?!

Yes it is. Gaining 5-10 pounds can make all the difference in how easy it is to conceive.

It depends. Unhealthily overweight OR underweight women can have erratic menstrual cycles that make it difficult to conceive.
