It is actually better to keep calling a place that you applied to because that shows that you are interested and really want the job. I say keep calling and if you can not reach them by calling then go to the fast food place and see if you can set up a interview now. Good luck.

Wait at least 5 days, then start calling, make sure to ask for the general manager or a manager responsible for hiring. Politely ask for the status of your application. Whether you do this on the phone or in person, avoid bugging them between peak hours. Usually 11am-2pm and 5pm -8pm

If you applied, there is no harm with a follow up phone call to them confirming they "received" your application. This will show that you are interested. If you haven't yet applied, it would be good to go in person, sometimes after filling out an application they may be able to interview you on the spot.

Yes. A lot of jobs like it if you call them to ask about the job because it shows that you really want it.

Ya-but it's best to go there in person at about 2 or 3 pm when it's not busy & the general manager is available & continue going back so they know you're interested.

You can call and ask the status of your application and let them know you are still interested. I wouldn't make a pest of myself though or you will be on the unofficial do not hire list.
