marriage is what you make it.There is no easy button thats for sure. Its a constant effort to make things fun and exciting like it was in the beginning.Never lose sight of what you loved about that person when you fell for them.People just get bored in marriage but thats ok you just have to do things to keep it interesting and never let household issues and money and kids ruin your love for each other life is too short.

"i was living in fairy tale land" Marriage isn't a fantasy. It's REAL life. So of course it wasn't what you expected. You're obviously very immature. Children believe in fairy tales.

Nope, I was late 20's and understood life pretty well when I got married. That, and my parents have been married a long time, so I had a realistic view.
Vicky, things don't necessarily change just because you get married. He could have started doing that even if you didn't get married. Notice how many that have shacked up on here for years and then broken up.

Where has the fun gone? Getting married is just the beginning of your adventure in life. You are supposed to link arms and go forth in your journey, side by side. Sure there are disagreements. You both need to learn to agree to disagree. If one of you is slacking in making your contribution to the relationship it needs to be reinforced that you are a team besides being individuals with different needs.

Marriage is a hard thing. You have to trust the one you love. If that one messes up, you have a harder time trusting him/her. Trust me, (ha sounds funny!) but I'm going through the trust thing right now. I hope it turns out ok for you!

yes, I agree with you. Before I was married my friends told me to not get married because things change. Before I married my husband we had a great relationship, he would go out of his way to impress me. But now that I am his wife everything changed. He ignores me and it got so bad that we are now separated...
