It's cute, but I have always heard it used as a nickname for "Alexis".

I love it! My daughter's name is Alexis and we call her Lexi. She's adorable and sweet and it fits her perfectly. I also like that it's not too common. Oh I like the spelling Lexie too.

I think it's cute. However, the ones I know have the name of "Alexandria" or "Alexis" and the family just shortened the name to "Lexi".

We have a friend and his daughters name is Lexi. I love it! She's a dainty, little blond and the name fits her perfect.
