I went to the doc office and had a +ve preg result that showed i was 3wks preg; i was suppose to start my period yesterday 8/8; but to my surprise this morning I started spotting; am not sure what's going on; i did call the doc office right away, and i was asked to do blood work whose result won't be available until the next day; can someone in the medical history help explain what's going; this is my third, i lost the previous two - one was at 4wks, the other was at 12wks and i had to do D&C after my body did not get rid of it. Please am really nervous and scared. Thanks for all your responses

Calm down, schedule a doc appointment. Many women bleed in early pregnancy. 'Spotting' (irregular bleeding) is common and is usually a sign of pregnancy. I have had friends bleed (have what they throughout 2 B a period) throught their pregnancy N a cousin of mine bled the 1st 3 months. I'm sure U R alright just look N 2 it. Remember 2 stay positive N keep the faith! Best Wishes!

I spotted throughout my first trimester and everything was ok. try to relax as much as possible, lay on the couch for a bit and see if the spotting goes away. If it gets heavier, I advise calling the doc and asking for an ultrasound. I spotted whenever I did anything remotely physical or strenuous, like walking more than 50 feet or even having a movement! Good luck. By the way-if this is your third m/c, you may want to have your dr. do some tests, your progesterone levels may be off, and you may need to supplement, thats what I did.

I can certainly understand why you're nervous.
It could be nothing . . . or at least normal. Implantation can cause light spotting and usually occurs about 10 days after ovulation (or conception) which usually coincides with the time at which you'd expect your period.
The blood test is your best bet for putting your mind at ease. If you've had multiple miscarriages, then I'm surprised that they aren't closely monitoring your hormone levels. You may want to ask about that.
Congratulations on your pregnancy. I do hope that you're having normal spotting and that you are able to carry this precious baby to term. Try to stay calm and positive, and if you do lose this pregnancy please reach out for support.

Alot of women have spotting around the time their first period was due, it could be from a variety of things. It happened to me with my first pregnancy, but luckily not this one. If it turns into bleeding then that could signal a problem but for now I'm sure you are fine. Good luck.

I really hope everything goes well with your pregnancy. Call a good friend or a close relative and talk about it. It might help you to calm down. I prayed to God for you right now.
God bless you
