Yes, it is trustworthy. That said make sure you at least put on the tracking label for pocket change. If it is worth something, insure it. It should take 7-10 days. How heavy is it? Priorty mail has several flat rate boxes if you can fit your items in one.
I shipped items I didn't want to carry on the plane from St. Croix to south of Boston last summer and it took only a couple of days.

USPS is not trustworthy, they honestly lose stuff all the time. The best ways to ship is FedEx or UPS. That way you can get a tracking number. If you use regular parcel post there is no way to track it. If it is coming from Texas it may take a week and that's another bad thing about the post office, they don't guarantee when it will get there.

No, actually I ordered some clothing from hollister and they usually ship from usps and they say it takes 5-7 days for standard ground shipping, I got my package after 15 days. I think ups is way better or fedex. Ups says it will take 5-7 days for ground shipping and you get the parcel within 1-3 days. I think you should go with UPS!

USPS pkgs are not handled very well. If it's valuable or fragile, ship it UPS or Fed Ex.

USPS 3days approx

UPS/Fed Ex 2 days guaranteed, automatic insurance of $100 @ no extra charge. Your pkg is handled by people that handle pkgs all day long...not mailmen.
