I'm planning a trip with my kids, and Id also like something fun for them to do on the way. I wouldnt mind stopping for a night if the price is right.

Thanks!

I take I17 and stop overnight in Vegas. I have 3 teenagers and a toddler (3). They all love Circus Circus. I swear $20 lasts them all day at the arcade!

Then, when we leave for Utah, we take I15 right through. I love this route, because it is all freeway. On 89, there are too many little towns to slow down and look for cops!

Good luck on your trip! I think your kids will love Vegas-not to mention the great rates you can find at vegas.com. They tend to give you incentive money to get you to go, too.

Have fun!

The quickest route is to go through Kingman, up to Las Vegas and then up to SLC on I-15. I think it is kind of a boring route. Not much into the Vegas scene, so I would not considered it a "fun" trip.

If you are looking for lots of things to do along the way, I would take a different route. I would go up through Flagstaff and then follow the 89 up through Page and Kanab. You could have side trips to see places like the Grand Canyon, Lake Powell, Zions National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park. This route is definitely not as quick, but it is much, much more scenic. If you look at a map, you can jump back onto I-15 after Kanab in many different locations if you need to speed up the trip.

Hope this helps...Have fun!

Interstate 17 to Flagstaff. Interestate 40 west to Kingman, Arizona. Watch for Las Vegas turn off on 95 at Kingman. Take that to Vegas and watch for Interstate 15 north to Salt Lake City.

95 from Kingman to Las Vegas isn't Interstate but it's mostly four lane with a median. When you get in close to Hoover Dam it goes to two lane, but past Boulder City it becomes the 95 freeway right through Vegas. When you see the casinos of downtown on you left you will be approaching the Interstate 15 exit.
