Crime is when you violate laws which are made to safeguard our society (at leats that is what they should be intended for). Sin is when you violate morale, ethics or beliefs. They are not necessarily crimes. If you are a believer the difference is that you will be punished for your sins after death. This is a question you can only anwer yourself.
I would not want to live in a country where sins are punished the same way then crime. I am an advocate for disetablishment.

A sin is a transgression between you and God. No one else is involved! Society does not have the right to punish someone for a sin they may commit, such as taking the Lord's name in vain, only God may judge a sin.
A crime is a transgression against society and / or an individual within that society.

Because "crime" is a man-made concept. When "crimes" are committed, it is the local authorities who charge, put you through the trial process, and then judge/sentence you. "Sin" is more of a spiritual term. What might be a sin, isn't necessarily a crime. What's a crime might not necessarily be a sin. What qualifies as "sin" also varies from religion to religion.

Sin is a MORAL term. Crime is a LEGAL term. Sin is wrong because GOD says it is wrong. Crime is wrong because the GOVERNMENT says it is. The same act can be both a sin and a crime.

Sin is a moral of fence whilst a crime by definition is a criminal offence. For example it is considered sinful for a man to engage in a threesome with mother and (adult) daughter. However, if both are consenting partners then no crime is committed.

A "sin" is a Religious Mistake. Religion should not define crime. People have different religious beliefs, and could not possibly live in harmony if one religion's rules were the laws to live by.

Who says that there is no punishment for Sin? But to answer your question "sin" is a religious matter and "crime" is a legal matter.... they could, in fact, be the same act... Government enforces conviction and punishment for "crime".... God enforces conviction and punishment for "sin"... different jurisdictions.

Sin is something based on personal opinions, whether they are a group (religion) or individuals, while crime is viewed as wrong by society in general. (Ok, I know every pothead insisted weed is not bad, but whatever)

CRIME is a violation of laws of a secular nation. Puninshment can include jail, fine, lose driver's license, get your name on permanent register of sex offenders.
SIN is violation of morality of a religion. Punishment is your soul going to hell when you leave this mortal plain.
You migth also review what is a violation of ETHICS which is a third concept important to many people.
