Ken Holtzman, Oakland, 1974 Game 4, Dodgers at Athletics.

Holtzman knocked a one-out solo HR off Messersmith in the bottom of the third to give his team a 1-0 lead. He went 7 2/3 innings, Fingers finished up, and the A's brought home a 5-2 win to take a 3-1 lead in the Series. Oakland won the championship (third in a row) the next night.

Holtzman went 2-4 with a walk in the Series, adding a double to his dinger, and scored two runs. As a pitcher in a DH league, the two games he pitched in the World Series were the only times he batted all season.
