This recession has been predicted and looming since the 60's. DO you have anything new?
No, it does not. It means I started a business back then and sold it 10 years ago with enough profit for my wife and me to retire. Slept through it? Hardly.

Comptroller General of the United States
David Walker
because congress and the president have spent more of our money then they have managed to raise in revenue the deficit is more than 7 trillion or more than two thirds that of the US Economy
When you factor in entitlement programs like social security and other entitlements Americas debt is near 46 trillion
thats:
4 times the size of the US Economy
More than $150,000 for every man , woman and child in America
$350,000 dollars for every full time worker in the nation
According to Walker every American would have to give up 90 percent of their income to fund just the current liabilities and unfunded promises in the future
Wake up Democrats and Republicans did this to us its not ones fault or the others but both. Maybe we should go Libertarian

He has to set even a miniscule foundation for the Republican Presidential nominee. His administration is now in a holding pattern and will do nearly everything for the Rebublican Party leading up to November 2008.

what deficit spending? every report that comes out since the tax rate cuts went into effect the debt has been shrinking, even in the midst of carrying on a war in iraq. what resession also? last i had checked, the employment rate for the country was around 95%, which is 'complete employment' for the country. it is always assumed 5% of the population isnt working because they are stay at home parents, between jobs, students, or things of that nature.

gah Chi, i think the economy regarding these types of issues is really the only thing we honestly disagree on.
But I do doubt that deficit spending will stop. So I agree with that.
