a friend of mine, imitates everything I do,I get a car she gets the same one, except hers is silver, I go to college and get my master's degree in social work, she decides she wants to do the same, I go to berkeley, she decides she wants too, as well... would you take it as a compliment, or competition?

Imitation is the highest form of flattery, but she seems like she can't make decisions for herself so she just follows you, I think you have the right to find it annoying.

It is said that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but it's your interpretation of events that matters most. It could as easily be a manifestation of jealousy run amok or some juvenile competition thing with her where you're concerned. You know the dynamics at work between you better than anyone and are therefore uniquely qualified to comment on them. So...what do YOU think?

I take it as juvenille/childish and disrespect. NOT flattery..my BFF has bought every single Prada and LV handbag just like mine and I swear I have stopped being close to her becasue of this...she needs to get a personality and find herself! People like that drain your energy and cannot be good for you.
