To get a guy a house warming gift, first you must know what he likes, then think what is it he is most likely not going to have and will need? I would think of the kitchen and try getting him a nice blender, toaster, or coffee pot.... if he has them get him an Iron for men never have one, not a cheap one get him one that will last him and one that he will use.. And send him with that a gift of a life time a photo frame to remember his day, of his friends coming into his new home, and a nice bottle of wine....

Pay up a month of maid service for them. It will cost about that and the gift is priceless. It will give them more free time, etc. etc. OR WHen you have a free day, do some running around and buy up a bunch of gift cards/certificates to local places in their new neighborhood - pizza places, gas cards, etc. etc. Throw it in a basket with a bottle of wine and two glasses... The gift of convienance is always the best!

You don't say much about him so it's hard to recommend anything. Most people give gifts of wine, a gift card, crystal, kitchen gadgets, plants, etc.

a set or two of bathroom towels; maybe even 3 sets if he doesn't do laundry frequently
stuff for the kitchen: pot holders, kitchen towels, cooking utensils, serving utensils, basic bowl set ...

fantastic sheets for his bed.... organic cotton if he's 'green'... Egyptian cotton in a high thread count if not....some that are so soft and cool that he will remember who gave them to him every time he gets between them.................
