I think it would be wrong to deny women the oppurtunity to play with baby dolphins and their mom. Dolphins are very playful and with their young, can encourage women to want to have more children. Plus, they are really good with humans and in fact if I was married, I would let my wife go play with the dolphins all by herself and even toss her a beach ball.

Okay, I want to apologize to post-menopausal women....I think even if a woman cannot have babies, she should be allowed to play with baby dolphins. Period.

Since in my youth I studied dolphins and their "language" I have no desire to play with one now, especially one with a calf. My husband wouldn't be consulted, nor would he tell me if I could or couldn't. And some people's idea of "playing" with dolphins is hard on the animal. You never ride one by hanging on the dorsal fin; you grab it by the snout and let it pull you along, which in a tank can be the equivalent of grabbing a bus so be prepared for the jerk off your feet. It doesn't like strokes and petting near the blow hole and in some cases will fight a hug, so don't cuddle one. Playful or not, they are wild animals and won't always accept that you don't mean any harm.

Swimming with dolphins is frequently looked at as a form of therapy. I would gladly give up my chance to swim with the dolphins to allow my mother the opportunity.

And you are one SICK puppy ... okay, it's cute, but it is SEXIST and you knew that going in ... but I do love the 'language' ... it 'drew me in' ... and by the way, I'm a CRONE (past menopause) and my husband wouldn't 'prevent me' ... he'd be right next to me, playing with them too!
