Ego is how you think of yourself. Usually ego is used in a negative tone. If someone says you have a big ego that means you are too showy or you gloat a lot or you say you have game but don't. My golf coach says it best "ego is when you think you are the whole beach even though you are only a grain of sand"

Ego is a term coined by Sigmund Freud. The Id, Ego, and Super-Ego are the parts of the mind. the Ego is the part that has to do with how you feel about yourself. I you call someone egotistical or say they have a big ego, it means they are full of themself.

It is how highly you think of yourself. If someone constantly brags about themselves they have a high ego. For example, the guy at the gym that says hes better than everyone, can lift the most, and gets any chick he desires...thats a very high ego.
