Alabama gets a "panic" dusting most every year, but there are some times that we get snow. The "blizzard of 1993 snow ranged from 4 or 5 inches to 28 inches.
but since 1993 there has only been 3 events in Central Alabama(Birmingham area south) since then but none were more than 2 inches.

In Alabama we get a light dusting of snow occasionally, but not every year. We did get 1 foot of snow back in 1993.
