i have 2 RES but only one of them eats veggies?

Why?? one goes crazy over them and the other just likes shrimp and pellets

they are both 1 and a half years old

Be sure to offer a variety. Some like their vegies chopped up small, other like to tear off pieces. Check out the diet info here for more ideas:

Generally, RES only eat meats until the hit reproduction age, about 4 years old or about 4 inches long.

They do not switch to veggies until after a few clutches and they get too big and slow to chase food all of the time.
