I bought my pc 3 years ago and is in perfect conditions, but I want to sell it since I got a lap-top.

It's an HP Pavilion a282n Desktop PC (US)

Here's a link that tells all the info about it:

If you are including everything (keyboard, mouse, monitor) you should ask $200 and take $150.

The processor/board is still ranked pretty good, but you can get much faster systems with 64 bit processors now for around $400. Also, you don't have a DVD burner, which is standard now on everything but the very low-end PCs. Try doing some searches online to see what you come up with. Pricegrabber and eBay should provide you with some relatively comparable prices (just look for what the PCs sold for).

Make sure to delete everything and re-format your hard drive. You may also consider re-formatting your drive altogether and simply re-install the OS. It is much safer if you don't really know who you are selling the PC to.

Good Luck

P.S., Try posting it on Craig's list or some other free board before you go the E-bay way.

A 5 year previous question, yet constantly proper. in step with various those different responses; quit waiting. 9 out of 10 circumstances, there isn't any "good" time to bounce into procuring/development a working laptop or computer. 3 months from once you purchase any element, there will be a plenty greater effective element for a similar cost. it relatively is the character of the sport. The 10th time may be in case you hear of a sparkling technologies coming quickly that would not in many circumstances see a leap very in many circumstances; like Floppy/Tape/CD/DVD/Blu-ray, or 480/720p/1080p/1440p, and so on. or perhaps then, it relatively is recommended to attend a year after it first comes out for the bugs to be worked out in later variants. So possibly it relatively is yet one greater reason to easily leap in and get what you may, at modern-day. yet in step with the OP: it comes right down to how modern you desire to be at any given time. i'm low-value, so I shelter my computers (blow them out, replace aspects, and so on.), so as that they'll final many times greater effective than 10 years. inspite of the shown fact that, at 10 years there's a pair of million-2 generations (possibly greater?) of utility that your unit will no longer help (i.e. my computer helps as much as DirectX9, and DX12 has now been introduced). So for the final 3 years of it relatively is existence, I evaluate any classes/video games that i'm drawn to, and notice how i think approximately them while i eventually build that new beast. So for me, i'm delicate with the particularly bigger point of "destiny-proofing" that a $3000+ unit grants. And back, $3000, plus possibly $500 in alternative aspects, over 10 years... nicely, i will funds 350 dollars a year ($6.seventy 3 in step with paycheck) right into a chit expenditures account, spend a pair months studying what each and all the hot technologies is and what's coming down the pipe, and then make an suggested decision; understanding I even have the money to accomplish that. yet it relatively is my convenience point. Doing it this form additionally facilitates you time to get to be conscious of the quirks of your computer, and navigate them greater effective over the long-term. once you're upgrading each and every 3 years, you're spending various your existence gaining awareness of what your new aspects can and can't do with the aid of trial and mistake.
