Handicapped people are used in movies all the time. Look at Marlee Maitlin. She is deaf and has limited speaking abilities but has made many t.v. and big screen movies. Ray Charles was blind but made guest appearances on t.v. all the time. There is no reason why if you are a good actor you cannot act with your disability.

If you can see out of one eye, you can see well enough to perform. My mother was blind in one eye and was offered a chance to go to Hollywood for a screen test. Without my glasses, I am legally blind and yet I have been cast in two plays ("The Good Doctor" and "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown") where I had to perform without my glasses.
As for excluding you from a role, the only person who can overrule a director is either the one who owns the production facility or is providing the money. The reasons for that power should be obvious.

The ego is a keeping mechanism this is provided from the 1st actual NO we are advised. We settle for this practise as element of a thank you to function. the situation is that we are under no circumstances taught that each thing everybody tells us isn't real yet this coaching nonetheless is commonly used via our ego. The ego operates via itself and in many cases takes over. The ego as quickly as reliable adequate will do something in its capability to proceed to stay to inform the tale, even on the possibility of harm or dying to its host. the thought that i'm suitable and all others are incorrect is all a function of the ego. It provides the prospect that fault could lie in what the ego believes. The wounded ego then tries to guard itself via denying the different opportunities exist.

Why would anyone have to know? You go, girl. Audition. For whatever you want. PS, there are a lot of celebrities with "handicaps" Cher is dyslexic. William Shatner has tinnitus (constant ringing in the ears). Tom Cruise is really really short (sorry, that was just mean)

As long as you think of blindness as a handicap (you probably don't, but many people obviously do) then it will be a problem. There have been some very good actors and actrssess who were blind or had other disabilities...do what you love...love what you do...can't go wrong there! K ;o)

Stevei Wonder is completely blind and he is able to play the piano and look at where he is now. He has one thing that you don't have. A CHANCE! All you need is that one CHANCE! People may be intimidated by you because of what you have inside that is better than them. It's true, pyschologicaly they don't want to give you that chance because they know you will do better than them. Just be patient and your talent will not go to waste. I promise.

If that's what you want to do, is act....show more determination and don't let ppl get in your way. Get criticism from more than one proffessional on the subject. You may not really be able to act. I don't know you....take lessons. Prove. You may be in denial and are using the disability as an out for your hurt.
Ever watch American Idol? Many of those people are in true denial.

Life is not Fair!!!
In Hollywood the entire acting profession is based off the persons looks and acting skills. So I doubt someone would deny you for your bad eye, but they might tell you that you do not have the right appearance.

People with disabilities can indeed act. There is this actress who is death, I cannot think of her name but she is doing pretty well. I also think you can go on casting call sites and post your resume and suggest what you are looking for.
Try to find a trusting person who can help you build a photo portfolio.
Good luck
