Hi Patzky,
No man is an island. Human beings can't really survive when isolated from one another although I know there is the odd exception. Life is a group effort. All men have their weaknesses and their strengths including the most independent ones. Some will be practical, some creative, some technical, some scientific.
The efforts of each person who survives contributes to the survival of the whole. And although as an ‘individual’ the human species is a large part of the whole, the same fundamental philosophy exists in conjunction with man, the plant and animal kingdoms.
Whether the most independent among us will agree, no doubt they won't if they look at life from a strictly personal perspective.
