Is it rediculous to use a bidet? (one of those things that spray water on your bottom)?

Why not just use TP or moistened wipes?

If you suffer with hemorrhoids, you would soon learn that a bidet can be a lifesaver. They are very useful.
I learned from an Exchange Student from India who lived with us, that they do not use TP. He kept a mug in the bathroom to rinse off. I imagine a bidet is a popular bathroom fixture in many other countries as well.
