Two words. Thank is a verb, and you is who you are thanking. It's like saying "I thank you" but instead we all shorten it to just plain "thank you."

Always two. thank is the verb and you is the subject. Like a lot for a long time I wrote it as alot. Alas it is two words as a not so kind English prof. let me know.

thank you is two words
unless your japanese in which case its sankyuuu (sounds a lot like the english)

logically it's two words because you are thanking you

It is always two words--thank you.
To the lady iluv..., "Thank you" in Japanese is ARIGATOU GOZAIMASU.
