First you need to register with a casting call. Extras can accumulate a lot of quick cash but you need to be where they need you and it's very time consuming, but once you get on with a good casting company, they'll keep you busy, but you'll have to do a lot of traveling to stay connected unless there's a need for extras in your home town. If there are a lot of movies and TV, filmed in your city, ask your actor friends, where you can register to work as an Extra.

It's not all it's cracked up to be. More than likely there will be so many extras that nobody will even see your face.

Try watching out in your local newspapers, they usually avertise when they need extras.
