Build more freeways and build more fuel economy cars? Sounds like its right back to status quo. I say build less fuel efficient cars and more and better public transportation. Reduce the number of airplanes but build jumbos for short trips. Develope use of bullet trains, and fast ships. Above all, raise the prices of gasoline to $8.00 a gallon.

I don't see why making cars get better milage is a bad thing, but you're right about $8.00/gallon gas. Maybe that way people will quit buying that crap. LNG and biodiesel are the way to go. I'd take the bus if it weren't for all the bums that ride them.
