i have this friend who wants to help people with their probelms in lives. give advices..and all. but then the thing is shes a bit young and doesnt know what caree is called. i was thinkin a therapy or Psychotherapy or is it a psychologist ? i am confused. is there a different?

A psychiatrist is a medical doctor with an MD degree. A psychologist has a PhD and can't prescribe medications. Usually a psychologist is better at therapy than a psychiatrist, but you need a psychiatrist to get the best advice on medicine. Lots of times, they will work together.

Same, basically, except a Ph D Psychiatrist can prescribe medications.
