Most mothers would want these things for their children but my mom doesnt. I dont get it! I am going to be 16 in October.
She wont let me....
1) drive till i am 17
2) get contacts and doesnt believe that i need them (I have glasses)
3) be in any honors classes
4) getting a job
5) graduate high school early so i can walk with my friends at graduation
6) go into medicine for my future job

1: She may not want to be responcible for your driving.
Or she may be worried about her baby getting hurt or dead in an accident and is putting it off.
Solution: NO solution they worry.
2: May not want the cost.
Solution: Get a job and get them yourself.
3: She's crazy , you are kidding right?
Solution: Do it anyway, it's your life we are talking about and it will look good on your records.
4: She's mean to, doesn't she know it's good for you to get experience.
Solution: I'm a bad boy so I'd probably try to get a job close to home anyway, she may decide to give in after all you are her baby.
5: Again I think she's crazy.
Solution: Again it's your life so I'd do what would be best for me, Not sure what that would be so I'll leave it you since you should know.
6: If she's paying your college you'll just have to talk her into it.
Solution: Not sure but... Do you really want to, if so I hope you come out a good doctor and not another quack.
Think hard before and be sure before you stick your time and money into it.

Maybe she doesn't like the idea that her little boy is growing up and she wants to be in charge of him like she has been all his life. That's the only way she is familiar with and she doesn't want to, or know how to, start letting go because in her eyes, you are still her baby. And she doesn't want you to not need her anymore.
I'm not saying that's fair. I'm taking a guess at why she might be like his.

1 and 2 i could understand. But the rest i have no freaking idea. I think you should ask her.
i seems like she is holding you back. I suggest you do it all anyways! You only have one life, live it with no regrets.

Number 3 I don't get, but maybe she just doesn't want you to grow up too fast, a lot of mothers feel that way.

You are either still her little one or baby to her and she fears letting go of you or she hates the idea of you succeeding for it would make her or someone else look bad. I'd be willing to bet it's the first one.

thats way lame.. so can i guess that she is shoving drugs in your face? it seems shes hindering you in every other way.... i say take honors classes deal with your glasses and dont worry about what you do after high school... she has no control over that anyway
