I think that most everyone acts differently around certain people. It depends on how close you are to the person, if you are seeking approval from the person, or if you really don't want to show weakness to that person. I know from work experience that there are people at my work that I act completely differently around. It really depends on what I want from the person I guess. Do keep in mind that I've noticed that people will even treat one friend different then another friend depending on a given situation. I think what it comes down to is, knowing the way a person will react to your actions and basing your actions off that.

I worried about this for a while. At home I am not completely different but there are a few things I hold back or change. I wondered if this meant I was two faced. But I realised it is mostly funny things that I held back and this was because the things I say in front of my friends are more colloquial and the humour appeals to our age group and with my parents I think of more adult jokes. Some people are very two faced and change completely but having multiple personalities isn't necessarily a bad thing. There are some things we don't want to share with some people. It is particularly apparent when we meet a member of the opposite sex we like. I try to be as natural as possible but there are things we naturally hold back, which annoys me a lot I like to be myself but I am just not confident enough yet to be myself completely.

I act differently around everybody, because different aspects of myself come out when I am with different people. Acting differently around different people doesn't mean I am not being myself... I am just expressing a different part of myself.

If you went around and asked all of my different friends about me, they would probably all say something a little different. But I think they would all say that I love them.

Being flexible to meet people's emotional, spiritual or physical needs is the reason why I act differently around different people.

i do act weird around certain people especially when i have feelings for them or if i am in love with them, and i only do this because i am afraid of what they might not like about me or just to protect myself from getting hurt over, and over again.

Yes, I do.When I am at work , stores, and dealing with handy man to fix some thing in my house I act as a person. When I am with a guy on a date or just talking with a prospect guy I am a woman.

I am not going to talk about adult content materials around kids, so yes I do. I am not going to say anything about the people i work with to my boss, unless it is warranted.

w/ my friends i act more outgoing and dumb.
at home i am more of a recluse and enjoy being "the smart one"

I am afraid that if i dont put on that stupid thing and if i act normal than i will feel stupid anyways. I hate to feel inferior.
