If you don't purchase a Kia new, don't bother.

Kia has good customer service if you purchase one of their cars new. We have only good things to say about them when dealing with a new car purchase with them.

However, their warranties are 10 year/100K only on their New cars for a reason, they want you to believe in them. However, once the car is sold by the original owner, they don't allow the warranty to carry over, and reduce it to 5 year/50K. There's an obvious reason for this, usually the prior owner was getting tired of taking it to the shop, or it was just too much of a hassle.

If you're looking at Kia/Hyundai, I'd only recommend purchasing new ones, never used.

Check out the Consumers Reports ratings in appropriate issues of the magazine, or in the annual Buying Guide.
