This was an adventure game where there were literally hundreds of characters you could choose, all of which had their own unique skills for combat, etc. Each character had Strength, Craft (magic), Life, and Gold, as stats, which were represented by small cardboard icon/tiles.

This was one of the greatest board games I've ever played and whenever I get nostalgic of my childhood, I miss this game. Does anyone know if they ever released a computer game based off of this old board game? Or, if there are still people out there selling the game?

You've picked a very good time to ask; while Talisman sells quite a bit of money on ebay (it used to be in the $80-$100 range), there is a reprint scheduled to come out soon! Same game, but with new artwork.

You can learn more at:

or

If you like fantasy adventure boardgames, you might also check out Return of the Heroes, Prophecy, Dungeoneer, Descent or Runebound.

Happy gaming!

The game is not back in print as the other person said. It hasn't been in print for many years. You can buy it online, via ebay or boardgamegeek.com, but you will pay quite a bit, and no, I'm not selling my copy :P

Good news though, the company that owns the rights will soon be releasing a 4th edition sometime soon. No computer version exists as far as I know.

For games similar to Talisman, try Runebound, Descent, or other games listed on www.boardgamegeek.com (the absolute best board gaming site out there!)

superb website! thank you for the link. I hadn't heard "topic From A summer place" in a protracted time. I submit to in concepts looking at Candid digital camera, Gunsmoke, My 3 Sons and seventy seven sundown Strip on television. I submit to in concepts hula hoops and cookskin caps, and hippies and how we wore peasant blouses, granny outfits to be "cool" like the hippies. I submit to in concepts the Vietnam conflict and the acquaintances I misplaced to it. I submit to in concepts the Cuban missile disaster and whilst president Kennedy replaced into assassinated and then Martin Luther King, then Bobby Kennedy. No, the Nineteen Sixties weren't all that super. I grew up quickly and found out how fleeting existence could desire to be and how it felt to have my little nook of the international explode with the perception not something lasts invariably.

Loved it for a single night's play. Ebay sells it, or you can buy it by getting in touch with the people at White Dwarf magazine. There's lots of expansion and board packs now, so you want to be careful about what you buy.

Didn't hear about computer version, but would definitely play.

If you hear something, comment on my blog below:
