He's not on steroids now you **** ****!

Sorry, that wasn't nice. He probably took steroids before but I seriously doubt he would be stupid enough to be taking something right now with all the heat on him, considering steroids are now against the rules which they weren't before 2004 (how can it be when you don't get penalized for it). So your answer is YES!

Evolution of the steroid policy

2002

• Before 2002, Major League Baseball had no official policy on steroid use among players. As part of a collective bargaining agreement, players and owners agree to hold survey testing in 2003. If more than 5% of results from the anonymous tests are positive, formal testing and penalties will be put into place the next year.

2003

• Baseball announces after the season that 5% to 7% of test results were positive, triggering the new policy in 2004.

2004

• Each player is tested once a year in season. A first positive test results in treatment, followed by a 15-day suspension for a second positive and up to a year suspension for a fifth positive. The result is no player is suspended for steroid use.

2005

• Baseball agrees to a new policy. Banned substances include steroids, steroid precursors, designer steroids, masking agents and diuretics. There will be one unannounced mandatory test of each player during the season. In addition, there will be testing of randomly selected players, with no maximum number. And there will be random testing during the offseason. The penalties for a positive result are, first positive, 10 days; second, 30 days; third, 60 days; fourth, one year, and all without pay.

Well we know he is not on them now because of drug testing. So it was a clean home run. But I still think without the steroids in his career theirs no way he would be at 756 well now 757. Barry without steroids would probably have 657 home runs right now.

Although he broke the record, there's still is and will be a continuing cloud of doubt regarding his overall performance had he not taken steroids at all. Granted that he may have been clean at the time he broke the record but could he have reached that number of hits had he not taken steroids in the past?

I think you should get glasses or a new brain..... If over 400 ft. is not a HR, then I think you're just a bandwagon fan pretending to know something about baseball. All these weak attempts to try to defame Barry Bond's name is not working because you don't have the authority to change anything in the record books.

all the people that say barry takes steroids are nuts ... so he might have been a few years ago but so was half of mlb and they weren't even illegal then. and also i really don't think there is anything he could be taking to improve hand eye coordination which is a big part of hitting homeruns

Don't know about that but the roids had to ply a big part in a guy going from 178 lbs to a robust 230 and no fat. Of course we all know that Bonds had no idea that he was being given roids. And I have 1000 acres of beach front property in Ohio I will sell real cheap.

Without the roids he would have not hit it at all since he would have been out of the game a few seasons ago.
