Seriously. I am 28 but some days I just want to go back to being a teen, when life was fun and uncomplicated! (Well, for some people)

When I was aged 17 years and 5 days:
after 12 hours of labor, looking down at my newborn baby girl, snuggled up in my arms.
It hit me right then and there: I was really an adult now..and my life was going to be dedicated to this little being I was blessed with.
I never regretted it, we have grown up together, in a way.

I realized I had to be an adult when I was 17--both my parents decided that they didn't want to be tied down with four children and basically left us all to do our own thing. For the last 13 years I've been paying own rent, bills, car payments, etc., and believe me-- there are MANY days I wish I could go back to being a kid.

My 18th birthday. Why would you wanna be a kid for the rest of your life? I had some fun times, but I wanna move on & see how successful I'm gonna be in life. Besides, being a kid was not fun at all growing up in my house. It's like prison, except I think the prisoners have more freedom. I would do anything to be in your shoes right now.

When I turned 31......honestly. I finally called myself a Woman. it had a sting to it, and now it is just another word lost in the ethers......strangely i had two children by then (starting at 27) i NEVER wanted to grow up, but it was inevitable~ I mean why complicate things? i was even upset to tears when i lost my fist tooth at 7. It was that fated day I realized that i was still invicible as a child, that I had to go through all f the riites of pasage and I wan NOT looking forward to it...was I right? YES!!!!!
My answer....31.

The first time my husband went out of town and I stayed alone in our house for the first time. I realized that I'm the grown-up, here, I’m the adult! It was a weird moment.

Although now, at 38, I sometimes wish I could be in high school again. Not for the drama of high school, but for the fun, the parties, and the lack of responsibility. Don’t worry – you probably will never outgrow that feeling…. I never did!

Ahhh. It was the day I first had to work in order to pay bills and buy things, etc. because my Mum and Dad wouldn't pay for it.
