Please clarify your question. Would this be a coin operated Laundromat or a Dry Cleaner? In either case the mean (average) expense is really not useful. The expenses of the particular business you are considering buying is what you should be concerned with. If I were considering the purchase of any business, I would want to see TAX returns for the past few years.

I would think your biggest expense right off would be your equiptment after that its all about the electricity bill

Your main expenses would be your water, gas, and electricity, and don't leave out rent.
