NYYanks26 please don't even mutter the words Buckner!lol Samatha I think that Basketball players are the most overpaid but only because baseball players play 162 game schedule. That is only 2 games shy of double the NBA season. As for professional sports I think most of the players are over paid. See A-Rod makes his 26 million a year but he plays twice as many games as any NBA'er does. If you split his salery in half he only makes 13 mil a year per 82 games. And I know that alot of people will say baseball is the easiest on the body out of the four major sports, tell that to A-rod the same night the Jays pluged him in the knee at 94mph. But i'm not argueing with you and i am agreeing that they are all over paid. Chow

i don't think all baseball players are over paid but i do think that baseball pitchers are over paid. pitcher only pitch every five days and for 7 to 8 innings on a good night. ALSO alot of football players are over paid. a teams line up is line 50 and not all of them play the whole game. some play special teams. specially the long snappers .

well, baseball has no salary cap, so many ball players do get a ton of money, but i think basketball players get the most overpaid, i mean larry hughes gets over 13 mil a year... and maybe hes worth like 4 mil

I think because baseball players, except pitchers, play 162 games, I think they earn their money. I think they deserve everything they get. So do basketball players and especially football players. Look at what football players life span when they retire. It's not good from the beating they take.
So I would have to go with Nascar and Tennis.

Honestly, one opens up a unsolvably messy can of worms once they say a certain group of people are overpaid. We live in a capitalistic society where the open market rules, meaning a person deserves to get paid whatever another is willing to pay them.

since there are only 4 real sports (baseball, footbal, hockey, basketball) i would go with baseball since there isnt a salary cap. i think the salary cap in the NFL is 70 million this year ( i dont know) that only pays for about 3 yankees. but i think pros deserve there money for all the pressure put on them by the fans. could u imagine being bill buckner! that would suck!!!

They're all over paid, but baseball is obscene. Barry Zito is no way worth 129 million dollars, and he's not the only one who should have to pick up winter work to feed the family.

I also agree with u. It's baseball. No player should be making the money A-Rod makes. It's insulting & ridicolous to those who really bust their behinds to make an honest living.

I would have to say baseball because of guaranteed contracts. In football, you can sign a five year deal, but its actually 5 1-year contracts, so you get cut, you don't get paid.
