Don't be in a hurry to label yourself. You are a sexual being, not gay, bi or straight. Explore your sexuality and learn about yourself. At 15 you are under the Age of Consent so if you are having sex with older men or women you could be putting them in danger of serious trouble even if the sex is completely consensual. Take your time, there is no hurry. You don't have to tell anyone about anything but when you are ready and think they should know, you will tell them. In the meantime, have fun.

At 15, it might be wise to wait on these impulses. Most people go through an experimental stage.

But really find out what your parent's views are. Would they rather know upfront or would they prefer to be ignorant about your preferences. Are they liberal or conservative? But even in spite of their views, they might experience some backlash to this development. It takes a bit for them to adjust.

No parent wants to think their 15 year old is sexually active--it makes them feel like they've failed you in some way. Like they didn't give you enough love or something. They want to shelter their kids from any kind of sexual abuse that they don't consider anything consensual until 18 years of age.

Being bi is an odd situation, since there's not much support from the gay or straight community. If you get a girlfriend, be aware you might have to deal with the lesbian label for a bit. And also, the bi girl can get a rep as "the easy one", too.

You might want to wait for a bit to tell your parents. At least til you're sixteen anyway. I'm sixteen and bi, and a gay friend of mine's parents found out when he was fifteen and weren't great about it, I think largely because he was technically "underage". Other than that, you need to guage how they react to gays. I mean, how would they react if they saw a gay scene on TV or somewhere? If they reacted badly, you might want to work first on trying to chane their opinions on LGTBs before you told them about yourself. But in the end, they'll probably be fine with it. As long as they love you more than their opinions (which I'm sure they do), then they'll see reason, even if they might be a bit weird about it to start with. Also, are you out to anyone at all yet? It's actually a real relief to come out to a few close friends first, and it makes it easier when you come out to everyone. And it'll give you confidence to talk to your parents.

As for girlfriend...well, it's tricky. But I think that if you actually get a girlfriend, then it's not fun having to hide, and it does the relationship no favours.

Hope that helps.x

I can say for myself I would be a bit heart broken about it, After all when you raise a child you kind hope they like members of the opposite sex to procreate and make grandchildren. In your case it is still possible because you like both members of the opposite sex... but I cannot say how your parents will react. I have known people who tell their parents they were gay and they were completely disowned... Others accept it even if they don't like it... some parents totally accept it. After all you are who you are!
