The Braves are my favorite team, and have been since 1994. I mean, they have for sure upcoming HOFs, Maddux will go in a Brave, so will Glavine. Chipper Jones is the all time Braves leader in homeruns, average, and RBI's (Hank got most of his in Milwaukee) and my favorite player, and will go to the HOF. Andruw is a no brainer. Best defensive player in the game and the closest thing to Willie Mays. Youngest player to hit two homeruns in the same World Series game, 8 straight gold gloves, youngest to 300 homeruns, and he's just smooth with it. Best GM in baseball, John Scherhultz. Oh, did I mention HOF Bobby Cox, second most wins among active managers? What about HOF John Smoltz, only pitcher in history with 200 wins and 200 saves? Forget only 1 World title, how about the only organization with 14 straight division titles? Who else has done that? No one. Go Braves!

Look at their record for the last 15 years. Obviously, the answer is yes, the Braves are the best organization in sports, baseball especially. Oakland does very well, but the Braves are unreal.

You said it all. Don't forget David Justice who helped bring Atlanta that title too. Fred McGriff, The Crime Dog, The man At First Base! Marquis Grissom, a class act, who caught the final out in 1995! Don't forget the little people, like Rafael Belliard (the original Rafy before Furcal), Otis, Lemke, Charlie O', Blauser, TP, Sid Bream.

And last but not least, the man who made it happen, Ted Turner!

Oh and that underachiever Javy Lopez. That punk stole money! I hate his guts. Sorry to ruin the mood. But otherwise, I love those Bravos!

And to defend the Braves fans, people do work during the week and games are scheduled so soon after rush hour begins to ease. During the weekend the stands are packed except on Sunday when people are in church. This is the Bible Belt, remember?! Also, the South is all about College Football in the Fall. It's interesting that in a place where college football is KING people would bash the fans of Atlanta because they see the stands not filled to capacity during the playoffs. Yeah don't compare New York to Atlanta where college football doesn't mean as much. I'm not even a big college football fan but living in the South (born and raised) I have seen how people try to bash us for lack of participation.

I think they're the best organization, and because of that, they have put themselves in the position to win 14 straight division titles. The stability of the front office and the farm system has allowed them to plan for the future, even when they were still good. When a General Manager doesn't have to worry about the immediate need to win, he can relax and help develp a dynasty, instead of overspending to win now.

14 straight division titles. All the homegrown talent they've produced. Look at Jeff Francouer, he's an up and coming star. I'm a Cubs fan, but what ATL is able to do with their farm system and their ability to get excellent production out of their kids is outstanding.

They have everything they need, and should be a major market for baseball. It's just unfortunate they don't have the fan base to support it.

I guess you've always got Mike Vick and the Falcons.... =/

yes the braves are a outsatanding franchise in a decent media center! but, bottom line is only 1 world series, if they could have won 3-4 it would be worth much much more.

I guess they're one of the best 150 organizations in pro sports...somewhere in the top 150, probably somewhere in the middle.

Sounds good...now if they only had a big enough fan base to sell out a playoff game, you would have something there.
