Sounds like a slave and master cylinder overhaul is the order of the day -- it is not expensive

You have a hyrdalic cluch. The main cylinder is in engine compartment then a slave cylinder down below. I had that problem when the slave cylinder went out not an expensive part and an easy job to change. Will have to bleed the system like bleeding brakes.

the clutch slave/master cylinder have failed. Happend to me on my 89 B2600. It cost about $400 for a shop to repair it and it was done by late afternoon. Not a hard job with the right tools I'm told.

did you replace the clutch slave? or replace the clutch master cylinder? if so you have to bleed the system to take out the air from the line

bleed the system like when you bleed your brake calipers is the same thing

You need to bleed a hydraulic clutch. I believe the fact that it pumps up indicates a leaking slave. If it were to fade to the floor, it would indicate a leaking master.

You may ask any Mazda dealer, they can tell you if it fits, ask more if any of them does not want to reply. Or, you can ask trans repair shop, they can tell you too, perhaps more enthusiastic because they might get your business since you can not install it yourself, can you ?

I think you have a piece of crap car that needs to go. Think about it, how stupid are you. Its obvious your dumb to being with driving an 87' Mazda but come on develop some common sense. But it sounds like the Hydraulics are going out.

Slave cylinder has a leak and is allowing air to suck into the line
