Anyone have any ideas of stuff i could take off the truck because it is being towed away for good because its totalled. trying to salvage anything possible. any good ideas?

the tow yard wants all the same stuff that you want... when they show up to get it andd see that you have picked it apart they might just drive on by... just get all your personal effects out of it and be gone with it allready.. jeeez

Depends on what tools you got and how much time you have. You could take the engine, trans., transfer case, bed, anything you want, but if you are getting the truck towed by a salvage yard, you probably are past the "salvage what parts you can" stage.

Be carefull. If the insurance considered it a total loss on your claim and you take anything off of it you could be in trouble. When they pick them up they are sold to salvage yards or dealers that resell them. If you strip it you could be liabel for all of the missing parts.

What you have done is to sell the car to the insurnace company. Now it is their car, not yours. Just let it be. It won't be worth the hassle you could get into for stripping it out. What are you going to do with the parts anyway?
Start looking for another car to replace this one. good luck.
