my baby is six months old and weighs 18 lbs. the smallest life jacket i can find anywhere is for thirty to 50 lbs and that is way too big. Any ideas of where to find one??

I found one at Target that is for children up to 30lbs.

Call your pediatrician's office. There may be a reason why they don't make them smaller. I did a quick search of the Internet and don't see anything smaller than 30 lbs. either.

first of all - its a PFD, a private floatation gadget. no longer a life jacket, it does not shop your life. Now, i could get some floaties on your youngster's arms and a tubie they are in a position to sit down down in and waft. a baby could on no account be left on my own interior the water at that age, PFD or none. i could attempt aim for the tube. They make some rather amazing ones now w/ little toys and such on them to maintain them occupied. yet on no account in basic terms positioned them in and swim away. that's meant for them to sit down down in and be interior the water so which you do no longer could consistently carry them.

I got one at Wal-Mart, it was around $15-20, but it was in FL.
