It's easier than tackling the real issues. Simple-minded voters hear their speeches and say, "So what if he doesn't have a clue what do about Social Security or the terrorist threat? He's a born-again Christian so that makes him the best candidate." It's pathetic but it works.

It reminds me of the Family Guy episode where Lois was running for mayor and nobody was listening to her plans to improve the city and solve its problems, but they started cheering when she started saying, "9/11 was bad!", in answer to every question. Some people don't want to have to think a lot about the issues. They just want something simplistic to root for, and that's how we wind up with an incompetent oaf like Bush getting elected twice.

staring on the Republican convention on television made me nauseated with all the fake accusations and propaganda. despite if the Democrats have been much less obvious, they fell into lock step with the Republicans whilst it got here to enacting regulations that stripped our enjoyed American liberties. With purely a handful of exceptions, i could desire to substitute our entire congress with representatives of the golf green celebration. i could even vote for Ralph Nader and forget approximately with regard to the nonsense smear marketing campaign that he's a spoiler. Given a typical risk, Ralph Nader could have gained Republican and Democratic electorate to his reason and u.s. could be in far greater advantageous arms at this element. Why can we continuously fall into the media capture of balloting for the lesser of two evils? we could attempt to think of for ourselves for as quickly as?
